Bernice B. Geigel, age 89, formerly of 1714-29th St., Two Rivers, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Woodside Senior Communities in Green Bay.
Bernice was born September 30, 1935 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Henry and Wanda (Kolpacki) Prince. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the Class of 1953. Bernice was united in holy matrimony to Bernard C. Geigel on May 11, 1957 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Bernard preceded her in death on June 2, 2019.
Bernice worked for Jensen’s Dress shop for 20 years. She was an artist who loved to paint, a published writer, a happy homemaker and very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Bernice was a member of the Two Rivers Police Wives, St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, the Ladies of St. Peter the Fisherman, and a staunch pro-life advocate.
Bernice loved life with a passion and brought joy to many others through her gift of laughter. She was the life of many a party and enjoyed singing and dancing with her sisters and mother. Most of all, Bernice had a firm belief in Jesus Christ and looked forward to singing and dancing with the angels in heaven.
Survivors include her children: Barbara (Allen) Ptack, Arlington Heights, IL; Joseph (Lynn) Geigel, Green Bay; John (Jeanne) Geigel, Green Bay; five grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one sister: Dolores “Dolly” Manney, Manitowoc; one brother: Harold Prince, Manitowoc; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents Henry & Wanda Prince, her husband Bernard C. Geigel, son-in-law, Steven D. Tess, grandson, Daniel S. Tess, three brothers: Arthur, John, and Henry, sisters: Lorraine and Patricia, brothers-in-law: William Geigel, Wallace Manney, and Edward Kunz, sisters-in-law: Sally Geigel, Monica Prince, and Monica Geigel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2025 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial to take place following the service at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 10:00 a.m.
