Jackie Ray Owens Jr., age 37 of Plymouth, Indiana passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025. Jackie was born May 15, 1987 in Houston, Texas to Jackie and Nannette Owens. He was very active and athletic, for many years he loved kick-boxing, disc-golf, horseback riding, mowing the lawn, and fishing. He was also very mechanically inclined, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone needing a car repaired. He was a tattoo enthusiast, having even completed one on his own arm and calf . Most important to him was time with his wife and two boys, he was a very caring person who always wanted to help anyone in need. On September 22, 2018 he married Jess Kutch, she survives. Also surviving are his two sons, Jasper and Jameson, his mother, Nannette Owens of Leiters Ford, Indiana, his sister, Jessica Swenson of Leiters Ford, Indiana and his bonus brothers and sisters, Jason Kutch, Katie Kutch, Josh Kutch and Lexi Kutch. He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie R. Owens Sr.

A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 3:00pm (ET), with visitation two hours prior to mass, at the Ancilla Domini Chapel, 9601 Union Rd., Plymouth, Indiana. M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox is handling arrangements. Jackie’s favorite color was purple so we would like to encourage everyone to wear something purple to his services.
