Russell LaFountain, 63, of Somers, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Born in Springfield, MA on April 6, 1962, he was the son of Charles LaFountain and the late Karen (Kibbe) LaFountain.

Russell built a proud and accomplished career in the construction industry, known for his hard work, dedication, and skill. A true outdoorsman, he found peace and joy in hunting and fishing, but his greatest passions were riding his motorcycles and spending time with his 3 daughters and his beloved dog, Moose.

Russell is survived by his father, Charles LaFountain; his daughters, Meagan LaFountain and her partner Brandon Thibodeau of Somers, Melissa Weibel and her husband Albert of Stuart, FL, and Melanie LaFountain of Enfield; his grandchildren, Chase Weibel, Dani Weibel, and Gavin Leddy. He also leaves behind his sister, Laurie Ann McRitchie of Stafford, along with extended family and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Family and friends are invited to gather for calling hours on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St., Somers. A service celebrating Russell’s life will follow at 3:00 PM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
