Jackie Gatlin, 64, of Panama City Beach, FL, formerly of Collierville, passed away on Sunday, April 27 at his home.
Jackie was a graduate of the University of Memphis and was an avid U of M fan. He worked in sales most of his life. In addition to the U of M, he enjoyed golfing and taking cruises. Prior to moving to Florida, he was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.
He is survived by his seven siblings, Bill (Pat) Gatlin of Covington, Terry (Chris) Gatlin of Munford, Rickey (Susan) Gatlin of Brighton, Wanda Gardner of Atoka, Ronald (Brenda) Gatlin of Covington, Vickie (Don) Wilson of Covington and Gary Gatlin of Panama City Beach, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Mildred Gatlin and two brothers, Mike (Barbs) Gatlin and Donald Gatlin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 2 at the Covington Funeral Home with interment to follow in R. H. Munford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1 at the funeral home and again from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. on Friday.
