Anthony Eddie Phillips Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Phillips, 80, of Greenville, SC, passed away on April 28, 2025. A native of Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late William L. Phillips and Cora D. Phillips.


Tony was a 1963 graduate of Greenville Senior High School, and after serving his country in the United States Navy (Seabees), attended Greenville Technical College. Tony worked as an estimator for the steel industry for 43 years. He was of the Baptist Faith.


He is survived by his son, Anthony S. Phillips; brother, Kenneth R. Phillips; and sister, Jean A. Carson.


He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris W. Hazen.


A visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, with a service to follow from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Palmetto Mortuary, 1017 Mauldin Road, Greenville, SC, 29607.


Interment will be at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery following the service.
