Reta Hamilton was born January 8, 1940, in Hinton, Oklahoma to Ernest and Lavelle (Crowell) Kluver. She passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, in Yukon, Oklahoma at the age of 85. Reta grew up in the Sickles community and attended Sickles School. She played basketball and excelled in

Home-Economics Class. She married Garland Gene Hamilton on August 10, 1955, at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Hydro, OK.  Reta and Garland welcomed four children over the next several years. She soon had great opportunities to put her Home-Ec. skills to use. Reta was a wonderful homemaker and mother who cooked and managed everything at home as well as worked in the fields alongside Garland when he needed her help. She was faithful to attend church at Oakdale Missionary Baptist Church. She spent many years teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School there. Reta was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed quilting and embroidery. She was most proud of her baking skills. She was always preparing cakes and pies to serve to her family and guests. She grew many vegetables and fruit in her gardens over the years and always canned the excess. Reta spent each morning studying her Bible and praying.  She will be remembered for her selflessness and willingness to help. 

Reta was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lavelle Kluver, her husband, Garland Hamilton, in-laws, Neal and Meda Hamilton and son-in-law, Kenny Blood.

She is survived by her four children, Delbert Hamilton & Donna of Lookeba, OK, Shana Brewer & Paul of Rogers, AR, Jawana House & Randy of Lookeba, OK, and Dennis Hamilton & Pam – Rossville, GA, 9 grandchildren, Daylon Hamilton of Lookeba, OK, Shelby Hickman & Brody of Hobbs, NM, Barry Blood & Jamie of Bella Vista, AR, Dana (Blood) Winn of Bella Vista, AR, J.P. Brewer of Cave Springs, AR, Randel House & Laci of Hinton, OK, Jennifer Garrett & Christopher of OKC, OK, Kaden Logan & David of Rossville, GA, and Bowman Hamilton & Kate of Rossville, GA, 17 great-grandchildren, Jackson Blood, Kennedy Blood, Travis Jones and Courtney, Ashlyn Jones, Makenley Dorsey, Kenny Dorsey, Kyle Bahl, Ellie, Layla & Jewelz Brewer,  Randon, Kodi & Hazel House, Rylee & Ely Garret, Leela & Lizabella Logan, one great-great-grandchild, Eira Dorsey, 3 siblings, Ray Kluver and Jeanie of Hinton, OK, Nelda Carlile & Dennis of Meade, KS, and Geneva Sisson & Benny of Yukon, OK.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the Oakdale Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jeremy Cain officiating. Burial will follow at the Sickles Cemetery near Sickles Church, Lookeba, Oklahoma, services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.
