Nori Lewis, age 92, went to be with the Lord on April 27, 2025. She was born on December 21, 1932 to Prudencio and Emilia Ayarzagoitia in La Copita, Texas.
In her adult life, as a single mom of 4, Nori began a long career with the City of Corpus Christi that included assignments with the Fire Department, Tax Office and City Attorney's office. After that Nori moved to Federal employment at the District Bankruptcy Court, retiring in 1995.
Nori was dedicated to her faith in God and her love for her family.
She is preceded in death by her mom and dad. Also brothers Salvador Ayarzagoitia and Prudencio Ayarzagoitia Jr. both of Robstown, Texas, and Adalberto (Delfina) Ayarzagoitia of Corpus Christi, Texas.
She is also preceded in death by her sisters Delores A. Guerra and the late Ernesto Guerra of San Antonio, Texas, Esther A. Gonzalez and the late Humberto Gonzalez of Bishop, Texas, Cristela A. Canales and the late Antonio Canales of Nyssa, Oregon, Emilia A. Gomez and the late Ricardo Gomez of Robstown, Texas, Esmeralda Tamez and the late Jesus Tamez and Olga Lidia Escamilla and the late Rudy Escamilla of Corpus Christi, Texas and Ruby Lieber and the late David Lieber of Benson, Arizona.
Nori is survived by her 4 beloved children, Karen (Joe) Paciotti of Beaumont, Texas, Neal Lewis and Anna (Larry) Hutchison of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Stella (Joe) Goodman of New Hope, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by 8 cherished grandchildren Christopher Paciotti of Houston, Texas, Julie (John) Evanko of Port Arthur, Texas, Jessica (John) Nico of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Holly Hutchison of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Jacob Goodman, Gabrielle Goodman, Travis Goodman and Mitchell Goodman all of New Hope, Pennsylvania.
The Funeral Service will begin at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Saturday, May 3 at 9 a.m. with a Rosary at 10 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
