Zdenka Welches Obituary
Zdenka Welches, 99, of Piscataway, passed away on Saturday April 26, 2025. She was born in Yugoslavia in 1925 to Joseph and Angela Zertek. She came to the United States in 1951 with her husband and two children. She worked for Garry Manufacturing, a tool and die factory, until retirement. Zdenka was a fantastic cook and wonderful baker. Her cookies were loved by everyone. When she wasn’t baking, Zdenka stayed active and enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.
Zdenka was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Welches Sr.; and her son, Joseph Welches Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Kiendel; grandchildren, John (Dawn) Welches, Joe (Michele) Welches, Christine (James) Dunham, Kimberly (Jed) Miller, and Scott (Kelly) Williams; great grandchildren, Jessica (Michael), Tyler, John, Joe, Julia (Jon), Isabel, and Colin; great-great grandson Wyatt; and many loving relatives.
Graveside Services will be held Monday, May 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
