Salvatore J. Livigni Obituary

Salvatore J. Livigni, age 88, of Louisville, Ohio passed away April 27, 2025 after a short illness. He formerly resided in Sun City/ Hilton Head, South Carolina. He was born and raised on a small Ohio farm in Portage County, Randolph Twp., where he lived and farmed until moving to Akron in his mid-twenties.


He spent his formative teen years working at the Hilgert Berry & Vegetable Farm, and credited that time for shaping his work ethic that served him well throughout his life.

He worked for 33 years at Goodyear Aerospace Corp. and retired in 1989 as Manager of Photographic and Printing Services.


He was preceded in death by his former wife, Elnora, the mother of his five children; his mother Rose; his father Anthony; his sister Angela (Livigni) Mudd; his two stepbrothers Anthony and Joseph Marino.


He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara; Sons: Michael (Kelly); John (Lauren); Thomas (Rosebud); Stepson: Anthony Paonessa (Missy). Daughters: Rosemarie Heppe; Donna (Morris) Hoover. Siblings: Russel Livigni; MaryAnn Ritchey; Rose (Buck) Conley; Nancy (Larry) Straw. He leaves numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and a Great-Great Grandchild.
