Barbara Jean Callahan Lambert, 82, of Thomasville passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Westchester Manor in High Point. Barbara was born April 11, 1943 in Davidson County to the late Charlie Callahan and Darlene Stevens Callahan. Barbara was of the baptist faith and was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church in Thomasville for many years, where she was the pianist for several years.
She earned an Associates Degree in Business from Ashmore Business College in Thomasville. She worked at Belks in Thomasville and then Thomasville Furniture Industries in sales and service until her retirement.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and going to the lake where she would swim and ride the golf cart around visiting friends. She enjoyed planting flowers in her many flower beds, shopping, sitting by bonfires and caring for her pet companion Molly which she loved dearly.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wayne Lambert on April 30, 2013 whom she was married to for 49 years.
Surviving are her children, Shannon Lambert Call and husband Mark of Thomasville and Barry Scott Lambert and wife Jennifer, of High Point; three grandchildren, Zane Daniels and wife Tania, Paige Daniels and Savannah Lambert and fiancé Blake Sims; two great-grandchildren, Mirabelle Daniels and Lyla Daniels.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Jonathan Lambert officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to express a special thanks to family and friends that helped with her care and for visiting her, and to the social workers and especially the nursing staff at Westchester Manor and Hospice of the Piedmont for taking care of mom daily for the last few months.
