Geraldine Louise Bedard, 77, wife of the late Oliver Joseph Bedard, Sr. died Saturday, April 26, 2025, at her home.

Born June 24, 1947, in Stafford Springs. CT, she was a daughter of the late Marion Curtis Jenson. Mrs. Bedard was an avid bird watcher, animal lover and a people person. She retired from Tuomey Hospital.

Survivors include three children, Robert Bedard (Lisa), Oliver Bedard (Destiny) and Laura Smith (Ron); two brothers, Ernest Fain and Peter Jensen; one sister, Virgina Boutot; 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Bren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, May 2, 2025, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Vic Van Ras.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Friday at the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at her home.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
