Funeral service for Jean Delane Day, age 82 of Killen, AL will be held 2pm Friday, May 2, 2025 at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Douthit will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends from 1pm until time of service. Burial will be at Mt. View Cemetery.

Mrs. Day passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at her home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Pauline Shew; and her husband, Sidney Day.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Day; daughter, Susan Rice (Alton); grandchildren, Gabriel Denham (Melissa), and Nikki Day; great-grandchildren, Henry Nabors, and Elijah Denham; brother, Lynn Shew (Lois); very special nieces, Shasta Lumpkin (Cole), Crystal Anderson (Stan), Jessica Webber (Daniel), and Libby Meharg.

Jean worked as a beautician and loved teaching cosmetology. She attended Websters Chapel Methodist Church and was their pianist for many years. Jean was a strong, kind, and loving lady.
