Robert P. Edmonds, Sr., age 79, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Born in Erie on June 9, 1945, he was a son of the late Harold J. and Mary-Ann (Weiss) Edmonds. 

Robert worked as a machine maintenance mechanic and welder at DB Riley. He enjoyed working on cars. He was a car fanatic and enjoyed driving, attending car shows, and buzzing the dock in his 1970 Olds 442. He was the type of person who would drop whatever he was doing to help others. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Doran and Jeanne White, and son in-law Jeffrey Cuzzola. He is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Peggy (Liocano) Edmonds; three children, Melissa Cuzzola-Grennan (Alex), Robert P. Edmonds, Jr. (Kristen), and Michelle Lubak (Darryl); two sisters, Kathleen Smith, and Rita Kaiser; two brothers, Joseph Edmonds (Janet), and Thomas Edmonds; seven grandchildren, Lucian Cuzzola, Colin, Emily, and Braden Edmonds, Adam Edmonds (Alycia), Danielle Lubak, and Alexandria Lubak; and four great grandchildren, Austin, Owen, Alayna, and Londyn. 

Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and may attend a funeral service at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 4701 Old French Rd., on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
