Anthony Laino, 85, of Woodland Park, passed away on April 27, 2025 surrounded by his family. Anthony was born in Paterson on August 6, 1939 to the late Michael and Vincenza (Jennie Casale) Laino. Anthony retired as a boiler mechanic. When he wasn't working, Anthony enjoyed traveling domestically and internationally. He was also very athletic and will be remembered for always wearing his running shoes even when he wasn't running in races. He loved to swim, to spend time at the shore, bowling and to root for the Yankees and Giants. Despite an adverse childhood, Anthony rose in life and was never afraid to be a leader or the first to do something. He was also a deeply religious man who was devoted to Catholicism. More than anything, Anthony was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Linda Laino for 60 years until her passing in 2022. He was the adored father of Lisa Laino-Pepper and her husband Robert, and Darlene Kuren and her husband Edward. He was the cherished grandfather of Robert Pepper and his wife Amy Melok, Michael Pepper and his wife Emily Townsend, Lindsay Rose Pepper, Kyle Kuren and Angela Isakovic and her husband Johny and the great grandfather of Ethan Isakovic and Isabel Pepper. He was the dear brother of Angelina La Forge, Nicholas Laino and Theresa Koch and her husband Richard. He was predeceased by Sr. Rose Laino, Margaret Laino and Jean Thelosen. He is also survived by his Godson, Joseph La Forge, Goddaughter Gina Delmo and many nieces and nephews. Anthony also leaves behind his deeply beloved tortoise, Reggie.
