Carol “Pidy” Lakomy 87 of Crown Point, IN passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Lakomy; nephew, Brian (Maureen) Harvey; niece, Barbara Harvey; great nephew & niece, Gregory Harvey, and Allyson (Matthew) Wozniak; favorite caregiver, Kathie Kleckner who became her buddy the last 3 years. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Nellie (Shelton) Harvey, Isabel (Elmer) Hart, John “Jackie” Burt, Margaret (Tommy) Ragland, and Mary O’Shea.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 2, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.

Carol was in the Altar Guild at St. John the Baptist in Harvey, IL. She worked as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels in Merrillville, IN. Carol’s joy was to make crafts, church bake sales, bowling and dancing (when she was younger), hugging babies, reading, coloring, and crossword search. Carol battled Dementia for the past 5 years. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Humane Indiana in her memory would be appreciated.
