Bonnie Faye Ellison passed away on April 27, 2025, at the graceful age of 83. She was surrounded by her loving family when God finally brought her home after a lengthy illness.

Bonnie was born on March 10, 1942, to the late Willis and Letha Starling.  Bonnie was born in Lawtey, Florida, and moved to Jacksonville at the age of 2.   She eventually met her late husband, Leonard Ellison, and they were together almost 60 years before he passed away. Together, they raised their four daughters. Bonnie was a longstanding neighbor who truly loved and cared for her neighbors, and Bonnie loved the Lord. 

Bonnie was a dedicated homemaker and family woman. She was beloved as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The love that she had for her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren knew no bounds, and she especially loved to cook for her family.

Bonnie is survived by daughters: Annette (Eugene) Nolan, Sonya (John) O'Kelley, Jo Anna Ellison, and Lenette Ellison; Brother: Donnie (Lynda) Starling; Grandchildren: Laura Crews, Randall (Jennifer) Crews, Thomas Crews, Sloan (Dixie) O'Kelley, and Miles (Renee) O'Kelley and several great grandchildren

On Thursday, May 1, 2025, we will honor Bonnie's life at the Otis Road Church of God. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., and the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. She will then be laid to rest next to her faithful husband Leonard, in Sellers Cemetery.
