Darlene Chamberlin age 80 a Kearney Road Brockway, PA resident, died on Sunday April 27, 2025 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on May 16, 1944 in Butler, PA; she was the daughter of the late Steve and Helen Nietrzeba Kovach. On March 31, 1995 she was married to Jeffrey Chamberlin and he survives. Darlene had been employed as a teacher and a librarian at the Brookville Area High School, retiring in 1997. After her retirement, she went on to work for many years as a librarian at the Mengle Memorial Library in Brockway. She also served as the secretary for the Brockway and County Library Boards. Darlene also served as the chairperson for the Craft Show at Brockway’s Old Fashion 4th of July Celebration.  She was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway, and was an active and willing helper for many years at the annual parish Vacation Bible School. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by a son William R. Ishman of Brockway; a granddaughter Tabitha Ishman and a grandson Matt Ishman; sisters-in-law Nancy Chamberlin and Diane Welsh; her mother-in-law Sally Chamberlin as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a son Robert Ishman Jr; a grandson Jacob Ishman and a daughter-in-law Cheri Ishman. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 1 in the chapel at St. Tobias Church in Brockway from 11 AM to 2 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 PM with Fr. John Detisch presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
