LAKEVILLE: Ronald Forrest Frame, age 74, passed away after a 9-month battle with stage-4 lung cancer on Saturday evening, April 26, 2025, with his loving wife holding his hand, and surrounded by family and friends.


He was born on September 5, 1950, to Forrest and Audree Frame in Sutton, West Virginia. Ron graduated from Richwood High School in Richwood, WV, in 1970 and joined the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was later honorably discharged.


Throughout his life, Ron had various jobs and retired as a self-employed house builder, including building his own house. He loved helping people when needed and was always there to help his Amish friends. Ron also loved hunting, fishing, having garage sales, going to auctions, and being on his pontoon boat. He enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, Andy Griffith, and John Wayne movies.


He is survived by his loving wife Ruth Ann Rawlings Frame; his son Brian (Shannon) Frame of Ashland; his step-daughter Ayla (Landon) Greer of Perrysville; his siblings Anna (Carl) McMillion, of West Virginia, Catherine Clark of Ashland, and Marshall (Cookie) Frame of West Virginia his brother-in-law Bob Kauffman and sister-in-law Patty Kauffman, both of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews.


In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded by three brothers and three sisters, and his favorite 4 paws Matilda and Nelson.


In honor of Ron’s wishes, no services will take place.
