Beloved wife of Rino DiCenso of 58 years.
Devoted mother of Anthony DiCenso and wife Anna of Saugus, Fabio DiCenso and wife Wendy of East Boston, Concetta Carenza and husband Benedetto of Peabody.
Dear Sister of the late Nicola Scannella. Surviving Antonietta Scannella, Adriana Susi, Antonio Scannella and all her nephew and nieces in Italy.
Cherished grandmother of Rino and wife Jamie, Sadie, Fabianna, Nico and Jeweliana. Adored great grandmother of Elijah.
Family and friends will honor Anna’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street (Orient Heights) East Boston, on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 8:00 A.M. to 11:15 A.M. before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church in East Boston for a 12:00 Noon mass celebrating Anna’s life. Services will conclude with Anna being laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
Anna migrated from Sulmona italy with her husband and children. She worked along side her husband Rino and her children in a successful family owned and operated business of Rinos place. She loved to cook. Anna was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia in 2002 and was recently diagnosed in 2025 with MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) and Stage 3b chronic kidney disease.
She loved to scratch her lottery tickets, and take off to the casino, and spending time with her family. She loved and cherished her Sunday family dinners especially with her grand children and her beautiful great grand child Elijah. Anna was always laughing and smiling through her battle with cancer. Anna fought till very end with all her children, family members by her side.
