WADSWORTH - On April 27th, 2025, Our Beloved Mother, Peggy; born September 26th, 1950 in New Jersey, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, after a short but fierce battle with cancer.  She was preceded in death by her parents William & Emmi Rowan, as well as her older brother William “Bill”, and older sister Eleanor.  Grieving her loss are her siblings, Werner “Whitey” Rowan (Cathy) of Doylestown, MaryAnn Wokojance (Jerry) of Barberton, Thomas Rowan (Lorraine) of Texas, and youngest sister Judy Crockett (Robert) of Georgia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews across the states.

Her strong spirit lives on in her children, Steven Couch (Joi) of Wadsworth, Tammy Crebs of Norton, Melissa Heilman (Troy) of Sterling and Casandra “Cassie” Arends (Dane) of Wadsworth. Additionally, her cherished grandchildren: Darla Garens (Adam), Lee Couch, Aaron Couch, Damian Couch (Taylor), David Eddy, Zackary Crebs, Sabrina Nenadal (Joe), Logan Heilman, Tighe Harty and Peyton Harty along with numerous great-grandchildren and even a great-great grandchild. She’s made many friends throughout her life as well, that will miss her dearly.

Peggy was devoted to her children and grandchildren and adored her cats “Sammy” & “Sissy”. She loved spending time with her very large, loving family. She enjoyed music, dancing and singing along to her favorite country classics and oldies.  She loved being outdoors, working on her pond and ensuring her yard was always up to par with beautiful flowers everywhere. She had a great appreciation for good food and loved vacationing to the beach. Shopping was her therapy. She was always up for an adventure and never afraid to speak her mind.  She will be missed terribly as she was our “Queen Bee”, the matriarch of the family and a guiding light for many.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH 44230.
