Thomas Roy “T.R.” Grace, age 80, died April 27, 2025, at home in Centerton. T.R. was born March 29, 1945, to Tom and Vera Grace. He graduated from Lamar High School in 1963 and is survived by his wife, Clara “Nell” (Ellis) Grace, and daughter Gina Grace, both of Centerton, Arkansas. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Tommy Parsons of Lamar and his sister-in-law, Marie “Cookie” Robertson (and husband Larry) of Coal Hill and numerous nieces and nephews.
T.R. was preceded in death by one brother, Willis Grace, and three sisters, Lois McMinn, Linnie Riddell, and Lola Parsons (Tommy).
T.R. owned and operated East Main Garage in Clarksville for 27 years. He enjoyed competing in tractor pulls in southern Missouri with his pull truck that he built from the frame up. He also enjoyed camping at Piney Bay and driving his boat with its modified engine. In earlier years, he raced a customized 1964 Corvette at local Arkansas dragstrips, usually winning first place.
Open viewing will be held at Hardwicke Funeral Home during business hours, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
No service is planned. Burial will be at Holman Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
