Lily Marie Ditaranto, beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away peacefully at Moses Cone Hospital on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

A visitation for Lily will be held at Forbis & Dick Funeral Service, Pleasant Garden Chapel on Friday, May 2 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Arbuckle Cemetery in Arbuckle, California.

Lily was born in Arbuckle, CA on January 3, 1926. She was an amazing lady, who lived a beautiful and adventurous life. She was married to the love of her life, Angelo Ditaranto, for 42 years until his passing in 1988. After they married, they moved to Worcester, MA where they raised 3 daughters: Alice, Angela and Karen. The two owned Angie's Donuts in West Boyelston, MA for many years until they retired and moved back to Lily's family farm in Arbuckle, CA. They enjoyed traveling together and were inseparable. After Angelo passed, Lily stayed in their home and bravely lived an independent life. She was the church treasurer for many years as well as a member of the Church choir. She was an artist and painted the beautiful scenery she loved so much with Angelo. She enjoyed going to the casinos on the weekends for lunch with her friends. She was an animal lover and took care of countless stray cats and dogs that arrived on her property through the years. She would catch them and take them for shots, spay and neuter and take care of them for the rest of their lives. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She decided to move east to North Carolina to be with her family at 99 years old.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Karen Panczyck and her beloved husband, Angelo. She is survived by her daughter, Alice Rice and her husband Richard and daughter Angela Dejoineville. As well as her 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
