Adrian Palmer Jr. Obituary

Adrian G. Palmer Jr. was born on June 6, 1943, in Bremen, Georgia, to the late Adrian G. Palmer Sr. and Dorothy (Smith) Palmer. Adrian grew up with a profound sense of curiosity and a deep love of learning that shaped his life. He lived with quiet strength, guided by faith, family, and an enduring commitment to those he loved. Adrian’s journey was marked by love and devotion.

He married the love of his life, Charlene English, and together they shared 63 years of marriage, building a life filled with joy and purpose.

Adrian’s legacy lives on through his three devoted children: Adrian Palmer III (Kathy Jo), Kara P. Mattocks (Louie), and Jason Palmer. He was a cherished grandfather to Alisha Palmer and Dylan Palmer, and a proud great-grandfather to Naomi Willow Palmer.

He is also survived by his sisters, Kathy English and Dotti St. Clair, and former daughter-in-law Michele Cochran.

Adrian was a respected electronics teacher at Columbus Tech, where he shared his knowledge and passion with countless students. His dedication to education and his ability to inspire those around him left a lasting impression on many hearts.
Outside the classroom, Adrian had a lifelong fascination with trains and was a man of deep faith. He served as a deacon in his church and was known for putting his family first in all things.

His role as a grandfather was one he embraced wholeheartedly. Those who knew Adrian would describe him as a loving and generous man. Though quiet, when he spoke, it was always thoughtful and worth hearing. His dry sense of humor and gentle presence brought comfort and joy to those around him. Adrian’s passion for life and steadfast support for his loved ones will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Columbus Hospice.

As we say goodbye to Adrian G. Palmer Jr., we celebrate a life lived with purpose, faith, and love. His memory will continue to be a guiding light for his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have been part of his remarkable journey.
