Ashley – Shawn M Pettit, 42 of Ashley passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born in Angola on July 27, 1982. Her father is Donald Berry of Ashley and her mother is Shirley Helen (Bledsoe) Kern of Avilla.

Shawn worked at Western Powers Sports in Ashley.

She attended Ashley Love Divine Baptist Church in Ashley and was a former member of the Ashley Fire Department.

Shawn married Matthew Pettit on July 2, 2004 in Angola and he survives. She is also survived by 2 daughters, Jessica Roby (Bailey Wies) of Butler and Jasmine Pettit of Orland/ 3 step children, James Pettit of Fremont, Robert Clark of Waterloo and Adrianna (Landon) Worthington of El Paso, Texas; a granddaughter, Rosalyn Pettit; Step brother, Mark Kern of Fairland, IN and a step sister, Cheryl Stadfeld of Kendallville: 2 special friends, Heather Strite and Heather Shaffer.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Walt Kern; grandparents, Alice and Winfred Berry, Louise and Johnnie Kerns and Oscar Bledsoe; 2 uncles and an aunt, Ross Berry, Michael Berry and Cathy Kerns.

Services will be 2 PM Friday, May 2, 2025 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo, IN 46793 With burial to follow the service in Fairfield Cemetery, Corunna.
