Ruth Campbell Obituary
Ruth Ann (Mumma) Campbell, age 84, passed away on April 23, 2025, at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston, Iowa. Born on January 16, 1941, to Robert J. Mumma and Bernice L. (Johnson) Mumma, Ruth resided most of her life in the Missouri Valley, Iowa, area. She was known for her spunk that brightened the lives of those around her. Ruth was an active bird watcher throughout her life.
She is survived by her brother, Dan Mumma, of Des Moines, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Campbell; her daughter, Jean Ann Gochenour; her brothers, Robert J. Mumma, Jr., and Clarence R. Mumma, and sister, Janet Reed.
The family wishes to thank Shelby and Deborah from Mercy Hospice as well as the staff at Bishop Drumm for the care they provided.
Per Ruth's wishes, there will be no services.
