Mr. Albert Clarence McDaniel, age 85, of Bronson, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, at CHI St. Luke's Medical Center in Lufkin.

Mr. McDaniel was born July 21, 1939, in Nacogdoches County to parents Neal E. and Thelma (McKey) McDaniel and had lived in the Bronson area for most of his life. He worked many years as a dedicated roofer, with businesses and residents in the area relying on his expertise and workmanship--traits that he passed down to the other generations of his family.

Albert loved hunting and fishing, especially elk hunting trips to Colorado. But above all, his greatest pleasures in life came from spending time with his family and involved in family activities. He was affiliated with the Baptist church.

His survivors include his wife of 66 years, Millie Jo (Kings) McDaniel of Bronson; children, Albert McDaniel Jr. of San Augustine, Pamela Evans of Bronson, and Carroll McDaniel and wife Rita of San Augustine; sisters, Millie Cassidy and husband Paul of Hemphill, Nancy Kuzma and husband Tim of Florida, and Judy Jackowicz and husband Lee of Florida; brothers, Herman McDaniel of Conroe, David McDaniel and wife Brenda of Bronson, and Doug McDaniel and wife Kathy of Bronson; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren (plus one on the way).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Simmons; brothers, Thurman McDaniel and D.E. McDaniel; sisters, Dessie McDaniel and Eunice Jacks; and a grandson-in-law, Jeff Allen.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine.

Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home chapel in San Augustine with Bo. Skipper Eberlan officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Chinquapin Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Jacob Wall, Jace Wall, Jordan Harrison, Dalton Rhodes, Thomas Blackstock, and Ben Jones.
