Rebecca "Becky" Hovey of Rosebush, Michigan passed away peacefully on Sunday April 27th, 2025.
Becky was born in Mount Pleasant, Michigan on May 22, 1950. She was the fourth child of Pat and Virginia (Veit) Hovey, who lived in Rosebush, Michigan. She attended Mount Pleasant High School and Ferris State University. Becky worked at the Central Michigan University Library for much of her career. Becky loved animals (especially her pet bloodhounds and cats as well as horses). She was one of the most avid readers a person could meet.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Lynn Heath, and her brothers-in-law, Fred Heath and John Murphy, as well as many beloved aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her sister Roxie Murphy and brother Larry (Sandy) Hovey, all of Rosebush, Michigan, and numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a memorial service on Friday May 2nd, 2025, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel, 114 S. Bradley Street, Mount Pleasant, at 11:00 A.M. A luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS), 1105 S. Isabella Rd., Mt. Pleasant, Michigan 48858 or Heartland Hospice, 1627 E. Broomfield Rd, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, 48858. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
