Terrance Jerome Arnold, affectionately known as “Terry” and “Haney” by many, peacefully transitioned
from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Sunday, April 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving parents.
Terry was born on March 3, 1972, to Carole Arnold. At just four years old, he was diagnosed with
childhood medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor. Despite a prognosis that gave him only 18 months
to live, Terry held tightly to God’s unchanging hand and defied all odds, living a full and meaningful life for
53 years.
Terry lived a productive and purpose-driven life, anchored in faith and service. He joined Wesley Chapel
United Methodist Church at an early age, where he faithfully served as an usher and custodian. A proud
graduate of Newnan High School, Class of 1992, Terry was known even in his youth for his
entrepreneurial spirit—baking and selling pastries to fellow students. After graduation, he continued his
business ventures, washing cars, cutting grass, and selling goods from the trunk of his car. He took
immense pride in his hard-earned money, meticulously counting and even ironing each dollar bill.
His resilience, determination, and warm spirit touched everyone who knew him. Terry’s legacy is one of
perseverance, faith, and unwavering love.
Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie M. Arnold and Mary Ruth Carter; his father,
Johnnie L. Tennerson; his uncles, Jeffrey Arnold, Marion Clark, Eugene Carter, and Roy Clark; and his
aunts, Shelia Carter and Velethia Gates (along with her husband Archie Gates).
He leaves to cherish his memory:His devoted parents, Kenneth and Carole Carter; Grandmother:
Lauranette Arnold; Siblings: Courtney Carter, Bernardino “Skeeter” Atkinson, Kalin Carter, Tina (Jeffery)
Holt; Other siblings: Merrell “Tony” Partridge, LaDonna Arnold, Chrystal Arnold, and Danielle Blanburg;
Aunts and Uncles: Laura Clark, Sherel Arnold, Elaine Clark, Jackie (Phillip) Carter, Brewster (Lynn)
Carter, Arnitha (Melvin) Lowe, and Amanda Carter; Nieces and nephews: Jodia Ingram, Aniya Arnold,
Aniya Carter, Shakira Partridge, Jalen Partridge, Timothy Quarterman, Brittany Hall, Darius Hall, Ashanti
Holt, Royal and Armani Florence; Beloved caregivers: Willie “Pee Wee” Graham, Debbie Tigner, and

Terry’s life was a testament to what it means to overcome, to serve with joy, and to love deeply. He will be
greatly missed and forever remembered.
"I’M FREE"
Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free
I’m following the path God laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call,
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I’ve found that peace at the close of day
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much,
Good friends, good times, my loved one’s touch
If my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart, rejoice with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
