Eleanor M. Howley, 89, of West Chester, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Sunrise of Westtown.

Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late: Henry and Marion Fitzgerald Metzler.

She was the wife of the late, John P. "Jack" Howley, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage before his death in 2021.

Eleanor was a graduate of Misericordia College (now University), a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Church where she was active in the Kolbe Club, and owned Copi-Pak Systems, Inc. with her husband.

Eleanor is survived by her children: Steven (Cheryl), Donna Bednarcik (Robert), and Lawrence (Karen Scott); grandchildren: Alexandra Bednarcik, Jessica O’Connor (John), and Madison Bednarcik; great-grandson, Jack O'Connor. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Michael. Many knew her as Eleanor but most knew her best as Nanny. She has left her granddaughters and great-grandson with an abundance of love and memories that will be cherished forever. She will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm on Friday, May 2, 2025, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, PA 19382, where the family will receive guests starting at 1:00 pm. Interment will be private.
