Gonzalo Ruiz-Cervantes, age 90, of Clovis, NM passed away on Saturday April 26, 2025, at the Retirement Ranch in Clovis, NM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Chapel of Angels, 1430 Thornton Street. Rosary will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025, 10:00 am with Mass of the Christian Burial to follow 10:30 am with Father Eli Valadez officiating, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 108 N. Davis Street. The burial will be held at Melrose Cemetery in Melrose, NM immediately following service.

Gonzalo was born on May 30, 1934, in Francisco Villa Durango, Mexico to Rafael Ruiz and Maria Cervantes. He married Catalina Ruiz in 1953 in Mexico they were happily married until her passing in 1998. Gonzalo came to Clovis in 1984. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and loved dancing and entertaining friends.

Survivors include his four sons; Horacio Ruiz, of St. Pablo, CA, Javier Ruiz of Parral Mexico, Carlos Ruiz of Clovis, NM, Jose Carlos Ruiz of Dallas, TX, two daughters; Alicia Lopez of Clovis, NM, and Catalina Ybarra of Parral, Mexico, brother; Jose Ruiz of Durango, Mexico sisters; Pilar Ruiz of Durango, Mexico, Argelia Ruiz, of Durango, Mexico, 18 grandchildren, 33 great grand-children, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his Parents; Rafael and Maria Ruiz Cervantes-Ruiz and wife; Maria Cervantes, sister; Belen Ruiz of Parral, Mexico, Rosa Ruiz of Durango, Mexico, Alejandrina Ruiz of Durango, Mexico, two brothers; Pedro Ruiz and Angel Ruiz.
