Suka Ann Anderson Obituary

Suka Ann (Pyon) Anderson, of Rolla, Missouri, passed away at home on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the age of 79.

Suka was born in Korea on November 25, 1945. On August 30, 1979, she married, Art Anderson and together, they built a life full of laughter, adventure, and family. Art preceded her in death in 2021, and we take comfort in knowing they are together again.

Suka was known for her gentle spirit, quiet strength, and deep love for her family. She held a special light that she shared openly. She found joy in the simple things—nurturing her garden, filling her home with the sounds of classical music, and watching her favorite Korean soap operas. She and Art shared a love of traveling, and the beach always held a special place in her heart, bringing her peace and happiness.

Suka’s legacy of love and kindness lives on through her children, A.J. Anderson (and wife Courtney) of Edom, Texas, and Jennifer Kimpel (and ex-husband Jason Kimpel) of Rolla, Missouri; and her beloved grandchildren, Kennon Anderson, Caroline Anderson, Jenna Kimpel, Jaci Kimpel, and J.J. Kimpel. She also leaves behind loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her dearly.

A memorial service celebrating Suka’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Rolla. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church.

In honor of Suka’s memory, memorial contributions are suggested to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Forever in our hearts, Suka’s love will continue to bloom in all of us.
