Tony Peluso, Jr. Obituary

Anthony “Tony” Dominic Peluso Jr., 75, passed peacefully into eternal rest at 4:20am on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Hershey Medical Center. Tony was born on February 4, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Anthony Dominic, Sr. and Magdalen (Schell) Peluso. From an early age, Tony loved cooking. He learned by helping at his parents’ Italian restaurant, Peluso’s Café, in Etna, PA, and spent his life cooking wonderful Italian food for friends and family.

After graduating from Shaler High School in 1969, Tony became a food production manager with Marriot Corporation in Washington, D.C. He later moved to York, PA, where he worked as a nuclear welder with Precision Custom Components for fifteen years. When Tony was 41, he started his own commercial floor cleaning business, A.M. Maintenance, which he successfully ran for 25 years. He also built a solid reputation as a webmaster, SEO expert, and start-up business consultant as the owner of Anthony’s Associates and co-founder of Career Professional Executives Networking Group.

Tony met the love of his life, Angel Amabile, on a blind date on May 31, 1971, when he was 21 and she was 18. Tony told Angel after their third date that he was going to marry her, and although she disagreed at the time, they became engaged on July 17 and were married on November 6, three days after her 19th birthday. Together, Tony and Angel lived in Washington D.C. and York, Dover, and Elizabethtown, PA. They raised two boys, Anthony III and Michael. Tony loved fly fishing, golf, and traveling to Caribbean beaches with his family. He was a lifelong Steelers fan and had fond memories of the 1970’s Steelers’ players frequenting his family’s restaurant.

Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Angel, his son Tony, his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Faith, and his very loved grandchildren Angel Marie, Alex, and Cilla. He is also survived by his sisters Marianne (Bob) Turner and Vickie (Lynn) Hiester, as well as many nieces, nephews, and their children. He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph (Tammy) Peluso and Leonard (Carol) Peluso.

A memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025, 11AM, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Hershey, PA. Family and Friends are invited
