Toni A. Jemison Obituary

Toni A. Jemison, 68, of Houston, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, in Jefferson Regional Hospital.

She was born October 19, 1956, in Mt. Lebanon, a daughter of the late George Moye and Edith Elder Jemison Moye.

Toni was a 1974 graduate of Fort Cherry High School and attended Penn Commercial for Cosmetology School.

She had been employed at Mayview State Hospital for 15 years, then worked as a corrections officer for Washington County for 8 years. Following her retirement, she went to work for the Canon-McMillan School District as a van driver.

In 2020, she cofounded DDT Elegance with partners, Deb Thomas and Deneen Sims, hosting events throughout Washington County.  In 2023, she cofounded Resource Fundraiser.

Toni was a member Kingdom Builders Assembly in Houston and the Washington County Community Club. She enjoyed cooking, event planning and socializing with family and friends.

Surviving are her daughter, China Jemison of Houston; a sister, Patricia Partee of Lawrence; two step brothers, Dwight Constant of Canonsburg and Eugene Dephillips of Strabane; nephews, Mark and Brian Jemison; nieces, Melanie Partee, Angela Kelley and Jackie Jemison; and great and great great nieces and nephews, Diamond and Cameron Partee, Tisha and Tia Jemison, Olivia and Zachary Kelley, Christopher Randolph, Michela Boehm and Ja'Kai and Jraylin Sweeney.

Deceased are three brothers, William, Lawrence and Joseph Jemison.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 Thursday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 2, 2025, with Pastor Melanie Davis officiating.   Interment will be private.
