Patricia Smith-Boruff Obituary

On April 26th, the lord called our beautiful angel home. Patricia Smith-Boruff was the most caring and special woman. She was retired from the Indiana State Teacher’s Association. She was sweet, kind, funny, and always making sure others were taken care of. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and most definitely shopping. Her family was her greatest joy. Her happiest times were spent with all of her grandchildren who held a special place in her heart.

She leaves behind her loving daughter, Paula Smith-Englert. Her step-daughter Stephanie Boruff-Walker(John) and step-son Mike Boruff. Her sisters Mary Chapman (Robert) and Pam Vanover (Joe). Brother James Hardwick (Chris). Her forever friends Hal Smith and Ethel Savage. Her daughter-in-laws Georgia Smith and Joanne Lafary-Smith. Her grandchildren Katie (Ron), Emily, Sabrina (Tyler), Haley (Dylan), Amanda (Adam), Cooper, and Austin. Also her many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son Harold (Chip) Smith Jr. Her husband Jerry Boruff. Her mother Roberta Burkhart. Her father Raymond Floyd Hardwick. Her brothers Wayne, Paul, Michael, and Doug Hardwick and Jeffery Burkhart.

A celebration of Life for Pat will be held on Friday, May 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin, Indiana. Visitation will be on Friday, May 2nd from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
