Allen Wade Wells, 76, of Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on April 27, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband, father, and Papa.
Allen was born in Sparta, Georgia on June 2, 1948. He lived most of his life in Thomson, Georgia. He always pursued his passion as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching westerns and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling Wells and Mary Smith Wells, his brothers, Randall Wells, J. S. Wells, Hugh Wells, David Wells, Tony Wells, and Glenn Wells; his sisters, Florence Thigpen and Jeanette English. Allen’s survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Wells, his daughters, Angela Skinner (David) and Cathy Rickerson (Stephen); his sisters, Joyce Newsome (Jimmy), Linda Reese, Karen Whitaker (Harold), and Debbie Burton (Roger); his grandchildren, Jason Yergin (Kaylee), Ashlyn Blasingame (Clay), and Trey Yergin; great grandchildren, Tucker Yergin, Hayden Yergin, and Caden Blasingame.
His funeral service will be officiated by Dr. Roland Galloway and will be held at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation being held one hour prior to service. The Interment will be held at Westview Cemetery, Thomson, Georgia following the service. Pallbearers for the service will be Jason Yergin, Trey Yergin, Phillip Burton, Jason Burton, Ronnie Wells, and Clay Blasingame.
