Rodney Lee Marshall age 60 of Harrison passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025 at his home after a long illness.


Rodney was born November 9, 1964 in Mason, Michigan the son of Carol Lee (Ricketts) Marshall and Donald Lee Marshall. Rodney graduated from Harrison Community Schools, class of 1982. Upon graduation, Rodney enlisted in the United States Army and served his country until he was honorably discharged after fulfilling his obligation. Mr. Marshall was united in marriage to Ms. Shellie D. Reist on December 10, 1983, in Lansing, Michigan. Rodney had resided in Harrison his entire lifetime, with the exception of his military commitment.


Mr. Marshall owned and operated All Construction of Harrison for over twenty years. Rodney was an avid NASCAR fan and golfer. He enjoyed golfing at Devils Knob of Harrison and was one of the founding members of the men’s golf league. He was the master of bon fires, enjoying time spent sitting around them with family and friends telling stories. He also enjoyed hunting, dune buggy rides and doing the famous Rodney “M&M dip”.


Surviving Rodney is his loving wife, Shellie D. Marshall of Harrison, his two children; Amanda O’Day and husband Josh of Harrison and Andy Marshall also of Harrison, his beloved German Shepherd, Rusty, seven grandchildren; Janessa, Dakota, Josh Jr., Remington, Taylin, Colt and Ryder, one brother, Mark Marshall and wife Kathy of Harrison, one sister, Lori Blaine and husband Tim of North Carolina, four uncles; Al Marshall of South Carolina, Terry Ricketts and wife Maria of Harrison, George Beamish of Harrison, Raymond Ricketts and wife Sandy of Cadillac, Michigan, one brother-in-law, Steven Reist and wife Lalaine of Kansas, two sisters-in-law: Tracy Smith and husband Ray of Lansing and Lee Foote and husband Sonny of Lansing, plus many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews.


Funeral services honoring Rodney will be held Friday, May 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, 165 West Oak St., Harrison. Visitation will be held Friday, May 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison, immediately following services with military honors being presented at graveside. Memorial gifts in memory of Mr. Marshall may be considered to the Marshall Family, in care of: Shellie Marshall.
