Betty Holder Bullard, 76, of Sanford, passed suddenly at her home on Thursday, April 23, 2025.

A life long resident of Sanford, Betty was the daughter of the late Roy and Wella Yarborough Holder. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Dennis Bullard. Betty was the mother of Marcus W. Bullard. She was the grandmother of Alyssa and Cheyanne Bullard. Betty was the sister of Anne Thomas and Tommy Holder. She is also survived by her great grandson Ezra.

Betty had worked as a nurse for over forty years, starting at the old Sanford Hospital and then for the Sanford Surgical Clinic. She was also a lifetime member of the Edgewood Presbyterian Church in Sanford.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Miller - Boles Funeral Home, 1150 Fire Tower Rd. in Sanford on Tuesday, April 29 at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the ceremony from 2:00 - 3:00 pm.

In honor of Mrs. Betty, the family asks everyone to wear colorful clothes. Rev. Sara Martin of Edgewood Presbyterian church to officiate.
