The King Family is saddened to announce the death of our brother and a father, Charles. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27. He was 71. He was a Cantabrigian, born and raised in Cambridge, birth date, June 10, 1953.
His parents were Marquise and Wilston King. He leaves behind his sister Marla, daughter Shantel and son Charles. He also has several grandchildren and great niece and nephew, along with his former wife Marie Wright and brother in law Robert Peterson. He has many cousins and friends.
He worked for the Massachusetts Turnpike for years. He volunteered his time for a number of years for the Cambridge Senior Citizen Center. He always would
bring cookies and cakes for the seniors. They adored him, he was like a son to all of them. He had a wonderful sensor of humor and a terrific memory which people would not believe how he knew everyone's birthday. We would always tease him and say, "here comes the Mayor of Cambridge".
Come to honor him and his life by gathering at Keefe’s Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave, in North Cambridge,
Saturday, May 11, 1pm-3pm. He will always be remembered and never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society, or Plant A Tree, visit the Sympathy Store.
