Phillip Bernard Windhaus, age 72, of Gray Court, and husband of the late Elaine Ruby Pete Windhaus passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at VIA Hospice House in Clinton.
Born in Brownsville, TX he was a son of the late Melvin and Marie Louise Kneer Windhaus. A member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Phillip was a Coast Guard Certified Welder and a retired shrimper.
He is survived by his children, Patrick Windhaus of Gray Court, Edward Windhaus and wife Amy of Gray Court, and Cheryl Windhaus Earl and husband Joseph of Laurens; sisters, Judy Manly of Gray Court and Kathleen Willette of Fountain Inn; grandchildren, Madison, Matthew, Samantha, Medora, Nigella, and William; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 pm on June 12, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Entombment will be at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Greenville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local Catholic church.
