Patrick Wm. Stang, 89 of Darien, formerly of Indian Head Park and Chicago. Beloved husband and best friend for 66 years of Mary Ann, nee Schendl, passed away, peacefully on April 26, 2025.
Graduate of St. Thomas The Apostle Grade School, De La Salle High School and Northwestern University.
Pat enlisted in the Marine Corp and was stationed in Quantico, Virginia. He frequently escorted President Eisnehower to Camp David as the crew chief on HMX-1. Upon completion of his service in the Marines, he received the Presidential Service Badge for service on the Marine Helicopter Squadron 1 (HMX-1).
Former Vice-President of Niagara LaSalle Steel Co. Avid golfer with St. Bede’s Venerable Golf League for many years.
Loving father of Cheryl (Brian) Lovejoy, Diane (Jack) Gallan, Karen (Robert) Hacker, Linda (Thomas) Heilenbach.
Proud grandfather of William Fraser, Tyler Lovejoy, Alexander (Stephanie) Gallan, Zachary (Chrissy) Gallan, Carli Gallan, Kierstyn (Partrick) Setter, Ian Hacker, Cassidy Hacker (Ben Jacobs), James (Allison) Heilenbach, Erica (fiancée Alexander Westerlund), and John Heilenbach.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025. Prayers will begin at 10:15 am at the funeral home. Guests may begin arriving at the funeral home at 9:15 am. A procession to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 8404 S. Cass Ave., Darien, for a 11:00 am Mass will follow prayers. Interment private
