Richard W. Corey Obituary

My brother, Richard, passed away peacefully on April 26, at the age of 83. He was born March 6, 1942 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.   Despite facing physical challenges from birth, Richard lived a life filled with love, resilience and a positive spirit.

Richard was known for his happy nature, his gift of remembering everyone’s name, and his love for the Green Bay Packers.  He found joy listening to R&B and singing "Hit the Road Jack" and he had a special laugh for Barney Fife.   I remember a favorite expression of his was “The Rock is smokin!”

He lived at Milestone, Inc - whose mission is dedicated to providing the best life for developmentally disabled individuals.  Richard loved Milestone and his caregivers loved Richard.

Richard is survived by me, his younger brother, Ron.   He was predeceased by our parents, Richard and Catherine.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 2, at Olson North Main Chapel, 2811 North Main St, Rockford.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1 at Olson North Main Chapel. Donations may be made to Milestone, Inc in Richard's memory. To share a memory or send condolences, please visit<http://olsonfh.com>olsonfh.com <http://olsonfh.com>.
