Burleigh Lamar Simmons Obituary
Mr. Burleigh Lamar Simmons, 73, died Saturday evening (April 26, 2025) at his residence in Hoboken, GA following an extended illness.
He was born in Tampa, FL to the late Burleigh Lee Simmons and Lucile Macy Stowe Simmons. He served in the United States Army and was a machinist with CSX. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Jacobs of Hoboken, GA; a stepson, Levi Crews; two step grandchildren, Ivee Crews and Marvin Crews; his father in law, Tobie James Jacobs; his special cousins, Glenda and J.R. Ashworth of Tampa, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
