Ronald H. Trahan Obituary

Ronald H. Trahan, 96, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025 in the family home that he had lived in for 95 years. He was the beloved husband of the late Florence “Babe” (Hopkins) Trahan.

Born in Pawtucket, Ronald was a son of the late Olidor and Sara (Gladu) Trahan. He spent 15 years employed as a Chief Mechanic with the Scituate Department of Public Works before his retirement. Earlier in his career, he worked at Hall’s Garage and served as Head Mechanic for both Arrow Lakes and East Greenwich Dairy.

At the age of 50, Ronald took up golf, a passion he enjoyed for many years with friends at the Foster Country Club. He was a devoted Red Sox and Patriots fan, faithfully cheering on his teams.

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Ronda Tortolano; his grandsons, Dustin Tortolano (Kelsey) and Neil Tortolano (Erica); and his great-grandchildren, Savannah Lynn and Noah. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Dorothy Trahan of North Scituate. He was predeceased by his siblings, Roberta Gagnon, Cecile Rogers, Roland Trahan, and Arthur Trahan.

His funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.
