KEWANEE – Gerald L. “Jerry” Becker, 84, of Kewanee, died at 3:55 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Arcadia Care at Kewanee.
He was born August 31, 1940 in Kewanee, the son of Cecil and Cordilia (Allison) Becker. He married Judy Belle Boss on July 5, 1958 in Missouri and she preceded him in death on February 18, 2014. Survivors include his two sons, Tony (Sharon) Becker of Springfield, TN and Jerry (Marcy) Becker of Peoria, his two daughters, Christine (Patrick) Sullivan of Arley, AL and Connie (Ed) Sturtevant of Kewanee, nine grandchildren; Nick (Molly) Becker, Josh (Jami) Becker, Aly (Brad) Wrezinski, Tara (Chad) Gray, Zach (Savannah) Becker, Amanda (Matt) Swain, Nicole (Stephen) Pepitone, Samantha (Adam) Sosse and Anna Hartman and sixteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Glenda Blust.
Jerry graduated from Kewanee High School in 1958 and served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as the parts manager for the Sieg Co. in Kewanee. He loved his family and cherished being “Grandpa JuJu” to sixteen great grandchildren.
Cremation will be accorded and no services are planned at this time. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society-Kewanee Chapter or to the Henry County Senior Citizens Center. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is assisting the family with arrangements.
