Owen Farnum

(1935-2025)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Owen Farnum, who departed from this world on Sunday April 27, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on June 1st, 1935, and having humble beginnings, he was a devoted husband to Carol Rita Farnum (predeceased 2010) and a loving father to six children, Deborah, Kathryn, Bryan, Jonathan, Colin and Michele. Our father was an incredible man, who always faced the adversities of life’s challenges with a positive and disciplined attitude. He was a survivor. He left England for Canada in the 1960’s and embraced this country. He taught his children about the importance of God, hard work, compassion, and determination. He will be dearly missed by his dear partner, Rosa Belik, his six children, fourteen grandchildren, including five great grandchildren. May his memory be a blessing for all who knew him. His memory will be a guiding star for all those who continue to carry his love in their hearts.

A visitation was held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket for visitation on Friday May 2, 2025 from 7-9 p.m.

The Interment of Ashes service will be conducted by Father Garcia on Saturday May 24, 2025 at 11am; Saint John Cemetery, 250 main St. N. , Newmarket, Ontario. All are welcome and there will be no reception afterwards.
