Betty M. Solley, 81, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, while at her home. Betty was born on September 27, 1943, to the late Gurney and Sadie (Peterson) Barrett in Mahaffy, PA. She attended high school and then went on to work as a personal care aid. Betty was married to Jacob L. Solley; Jacob preceded her in passing. Betty enjoyed going to the casino, listening to Charlie Pride and Elvis, and loving her family. She adored her grandchildren. She also loved ducks and cats. Betty is survived by two daughters; Lora Wonderling, and Mary Soliday; seven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in passing by one daughter: Sue Solley Sheriff; a good friend of eighteen years; Jim James Dunbar; two sisters; 4 brothers; and three infant sisters. All services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
