Joe was a beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother and Grandfather. He has been married for 46 years to the love of his life Patsy “Pat” Evans. You could see them walking around Fayetteville holding hands daily, they enjoyed this time together and met lots of people along the way.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Ina Evans; his brothers, Donny, Robert, “Bud” and one daughter, Kimberly Lyons. Joe and Pat had a blended family of five children, Tanja Evans, Carl Raymond (Mitzi), Natalie Padovano (Gerry), and Cathy Morris. Now with five children, lots of grandchildren came along well at least twelve of them, Stephen Little, Deanne Hines, Michael Lyons, Amber “Shae” Cochran, Carl Joesph Raymond (Savanna), Amber Campbell (Chris), Stephen Raymond, Emma Padovano, Joshua Padovano, Crissy Grizzle and Daniel Raymond; they also had fifteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. They loved spending time with their grandchildren and watching dreams come true.
Joe worked at General Motors as a Welder and in Maintenance for 34 years. Joe even worked with Pat cleaning houses and the church from time to time. They were faithful members of New Hope Baptist Church in Fayetteville for 46 years. They have enjoyed being a part of the Senior Group at the church and traveling with them along with Senior lunches during the month, they are also involved in Sunday School and love spending time with them on the back porch of their home where lots of lunches were had.
The service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday April 30, 2025, at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Georgia. Visitation will be from 1:00pm-2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity in honor of Joe.
