Miranda Smith Barwick, 89, of High Point, went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Westchester Manor in High Point.

Miranda was a native of North Carolina and spent many years living in Texas before returning home. She was a devoted servant of her Lord and Savior and worked on the mission field spreading the Gospel. Miranda helped found a church in Los Ebanos, TX, raising money for construction and operation as the treasurer of the building committee. She also spent several days each week visiting the residents of area nursing homes playing and singing songs and ministering to them, as well as working with Helping Hands Missions in Texas. Miranda was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Kidd, her second husband, James Barwick, son, Arnold Kidd, stepson, Philip Barwick, parents, Clarence and Lillie Perry Smith, brothers, Rudolph Smith and Ralph Smith.
Survivors: daughter, Cheryl Kidd, of Greensboro, and several nieces and nephews.
The body will lie in repose from 11 AM until 5 PM on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the Loflin Funeral Home.
