Philip Ramos Jr. sadly left us on April 23, 2025, at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, Louisiana at 80 years old. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Philip and Jennie (Marino) Ramos. He retired from the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers after years of demanding work.
Preceded in death by his loving wife Rita Dancereau Ramos. Survived by his daughters Shelley R. Manno (Nicholas) and Cynthia R. Schwab (Frank). He was a loving grandfather to four grandchildren, Philip J. Ramos (Erin), Nicholas A. Manno (Ellen), Christopher M. Manno (Brooke) and Olivia S. Scioneaux (Mason) and five great grandchildren, Christopher, Wyatt, Layla, Nicholas, and Philip.
Visitation will be on May 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70119. Mass will be at 3:00 p.m. followed by a gathering to celebrate life in the Iberville Room.
