Keith E. Deeter, our devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2025 at the age of 67. He was born in Ashland, on February 15, 1958, a son of Jennet Major Deeter, Hegins and the late Earl S. Deeter.
Keith attended Tri-Valley High School and has been employed as a tool and die repairman with TYCO for the past 35 years. He was a member of the Orwin Fire Company and the York Tunnel Hunting Club.
His love for flea markets was unmatched - always on the hunt for hidden treasures and unique finds. A true tinkerer at heart, Keith had a gift for repairing lawn mowers, engines, and just about anything that needed fixing. His hands were rarely still, and he took pride in bringing old things back to life, often sharing his knowledge and skills generously with others.
Above all, Keith loved his family deeply. He was a devoted husband to Debbie for 40 years, a proud father to Keith Brian and Chrissy, and an adoring grandfather to Brian, Ava, Kolden, Berkeley and Lochlyn. His selflessness and lifelong passion for the outdoors created meaningful relationships and strong bonds that will be missed beyond measure.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, David.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Jennet, are his wife and best friend, Debra L. Wolff Deeter, his two children, Keith "Skip" Deeter and his wife Kristy, Tower City and Christina "Chrissy" Reed and her husband Christopher, Pine Grove; his siblings, Nancy Hubler and her husband, David, Spring Glen, Debra Leib and her husband George, Ashland, Kathy Deeter-Salada and her companion Vaughn, Hegins, Kent Deeter and his wife Susan, Hegins, Kelly Lane and her husband Todd, Numidia, and Scott Deeter and his wife Robin, Hegins, 5 grandchildren; Brian and Ava Deeter, Kolden Smeltz, Berkeley and Lochlyn Reed. Numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Maureen Duffy-Guy. Viewing will be from 9-11 at the chapel.
